Epidendrum pseudepidendrum is a species of orchid native to Costa Rica and Panama. It is commonly known as the "False Epidendrum Epidendrum" due to its previous classification as Pseudepidendrum spectabile before being moved to the genus Epidendrum. The plant can reach up to 5 feet in height and produces long, branching inflorescences that can bloom for several years. It was first described in 1861 by H. G. Reichenbach and a gold variety of this species, E. xanthoianthinum, was described in 1993. This orchid is a popular ornamental plant and can be found in cultivation around the world.
