Epidendrum lanipes is a type of orchid that grows on other plants and is found in the tropical rainforests of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It has long, slender stems and flat leaves that can vary in shape. The flowers are white and have a citrus-like scent, with a trilobate lip and a trilobate callus. The inflorescence is paniculate, with densely flowered racemes. This orchid has a diploid chromosome number of 2n = 40.
