Epidendrum friderici-guilielmi is a type of orchid found in Peru and Bolivia at high altitudes. It is a reed-stemmed plant with tall stems covered in tubular sheaths and broad leaves. The flowers are purple to crimson in color and have a racemose inflorescence with widely opened segments. The sepals and petals are 13-23 mm long, with the lip being adnate to the column and deeply trilobate. This orchid is a unique and beautiful addition to its natural habitat.
