Epidendrum floridense, also known as the Florida star orchid, is a threatened species of orchid found in southern Florida. It is commonly found in the Everglades and around Lake Okeechobee. Previously thought to be a highly variable species, it is now known to be a complex of many different species. This herb grows in clusters and is typically found growing on trees in swamps and forests. Its flowers are green and are pollinated by moths.
