Epidendrum chlorinium is a species of reed-stemmed orchid that is found in mountainous regions of Brazil, specifically in the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and Espiritu Santo. It typically grows at altitudes of 1-1.5 km and can reach heights of up to 45 cm. The lower portion of the stem is covered in old, dry leaf bases and the leaves are dark green and can grow up to 12 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. The flowers are fragrant and translucent, with a lime-green color and can grow up to 5 cm long. The lip of the flower is heart-shaped and has two small white-green calli at its base. In its natural habitat, this orchid blooms from November to March.
