The plant has a single, long, thin pseudobulb with a single, long, thin leaf. The inflorescence is a single, long, thin raceme with many small, white flowers. The flowers have a sweet, spicy scent and are pollinated by small insects.
Bulbophyllum dolichoglottis is a species of orchid found only in New Guinea at an elevation of 700 meters (2,300 feet). It prefers intermediate temperatures with high humidity and fairly constant conditions year round. The plant has a single, long, thin pseudobulb with a single, long, thin leaf. The inflorescence is a single, long, thin raceme with many small, white flowers that have a sweet, spicy scent. The flowers are pollinated by small insects.
