It is native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. It is a small epiphytic orchid, growing on trees and other plants, and has a distinctively shaped flower. The flower has a yellow-green petal with a red-purple tip, and a white lip. The flower is about 1 cm in size and has a strong, sweet scent. The plant grows in shady areas and prefers high humidity and temperatures between 18-25°C. It is an easy to grow species and can be propagated by division or by seed. It is a popular ornamental plant, used in gardens and in the cut flower trade.
