Libertia chilensis, also known as Libertia formosa, is a flowering plant in the iris family that is native to the Juan Fernández Islands, central and southern Chile, and southern Argentina. It has also been introduced to the San Francisco Bay Area and San Bernardino County in California. This rhizomatous evergreen perennial has been recognized for its beauty and received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. The plant is also significant to the Mapuche people, as the Calle-Calle River in Los Ríos Region is named after it.
