Scilla sardensis, also known as the lesser glory-of-the-snow, is a bulbous perennial plant native to western Turkey. It blooms in early spring and goes into dormancy until the following year. It was previously classified in a separate genus, Chionodoxa, but is now considered part of the Scilla sect. Chionodoxa. The plant produces violet-blue flowers with a white center and flattened stamens. It is similar to S. forbesii, but with a less distinct white center. Scilla sardensis has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit and is suitable for cultivation in gardens.
