Muscari macrocarpum, also known as Yellow Grape Hyacinth, is a perennial flowering plant in the asparagus family. It is native to eastern Crete, Amorgos, and southwest Turkey, where it grows in rocky areas. This plant is often grown as an ornamental due to its attractive appearance. It is similar to M. racemosum and is part of the Muscarimia group in the Muscari genus. M. macrocarpum has large bulbs with thick roots and produces greyish-green leaves. Its flowers, which have a distinct banana-like scent, grow in a spike or raceme on a 10-15 cm tall stem. The flowers start as violet buds and open up to reveal yellow petals. A popular cultivar of this plant is 'Golden Fragrance'.
