Nerine sarniensis, commonly known as the Guernsey lily, is a flowering plant in the Amaryllidaceae family. Native to the Northern and Western Cape Provinces of South Africa, it is now naturalized in France, Madeira, and the Azores. It grows to 45 cm (18 in) tall by 8 cm (3 in) wide, with strap-shaped leaves and umbels of scarlet, lily-like flowers with purple anthers. In colder areas, it requires winter protection. It is known as one of the longest lasting cut flowers among florists.
