Hymenocallis clivorum is a perennial herb that belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family and the genus Hymenocallis. It is native to the southern part of the Mexican state of Sonora and is characterized by narrow, waxy leaves and white flowers with a staminal cup. The species was first described in 1998 and its name, "clivorum," refers to its habitat on slopes. It is one of only three Hymenocallis species found in Sonora, with the others growing in swamps and along streambanks. H. clivorum, however, can be found on hillsides in semi-arid brushlands.
