Hippeastrum iguazuanum is a rare flowering plant in the Amaryllidaceae family, found in southern Brazil and Argentina. It belongs to the subgenus Omphalissa and blooms in early Spring with yellow to green flowers. Its leaves are glaucous and sometimes dark purple. It was first described by Pierfelice Ravenna in 1971 and named by Dudley and Williams in 1984. The name comes from its discovery in the Iguazú National Park in Argentina. This plant prefers cliff faces with dense vegetation and can be easily grown in potted plants or gardens in certain climates. It can also be propagated from offset bulbils on the mother bulb.
