Pritchardia beccariana, also known as the Kilauea pritchardia or Beccari's loulu, is a palm tree endemic to the eastern part of the island of Hawaiʻi. It can reach a height of 65 feet and has large, flat leaves divided into stiff-tipped segments. The tree produces black oval fruits and grows at elevations of 1,000–4,200 feet where it receives high rainfall. It was first discovered by Joseph Rock in 1914 and named after his colleague Odoardo Beccari. The tree has cultural significance to Native Hawaiians and is also grown as a landscape palm in tropical and subtropical regions. It is threatened by habitat loss and invasive species.
