Coccothrinax ekmanii, also known as gwenn or palma de guano, is a type of palm tree that is native to the island of Hispaniola, located in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. It is a fan palm that can grow up to 15 meters tall with a single stem and has a diameter of 5 to 8 centimeters. The fruit of this palm is small and brownish in color, measuring 5-6 millimeters in diameter. It typically grows in rocky areas or dry scrub forests on limestone.
