Polyscias sandwicensis, also known as 'ohe makai or ʻOhe kukuluāeʻo, is a flowering plant that is native to Hawaii. It is a tree that can grow up to 15 feet tall with a trunk diameter of 1.6-2.0 feet. This species can be found on most of the main Hawaiian islands at elevations of 98-2,625 feet. It typically grows in lowland dry forests, but can also be found in coastal mesic and mixed mesic forests. Unfortunately, Polyscias sandwicensis is facing threats due to habitat loss.
