Spermolepis inermis, also known as the Red River scaleseed or spreading scaleseed, is a type of flowering plant belonging to the Apiaceae family. It is primarily found in the central and southeastern regions of the United States, as well as eastern Mexico. This annual plant can grow up to 3 feet (1 meter) tall and is typically found in grasslands.
