Spermolepis hawaiiensis, also known as Hawai'i scaleseed, is a rare flowering plant in the carrot family that is only found in Hawaii. It is endangered due to the destruction of its natural habitat and is listed as a federally endangered species. This annual herb has a slender stem and produces small white flowers. It can be found in various habitats such as forests, woodlands, and shrublands. As of 1999, there were only 12 populations of this plant, with a total of 2000 to 6000 individuals. It is currently found on the islands of Kauai, Maui, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, and Hawaii, including Diamond Head and the Pohakuloa Training Area.
