Platysace filiformis is a perennial herb or shrub that is native to the south-west region of Western Australia. It belongs to the Apiaceae family and has flat, winged stems with few leaves. The plant produces white or cream-colored flowers in compound umbels and can grow up to 60 cm tall. It was first described in 1845 and was later transferred to the Platysace genus. This species can be found in various bioregions in Western Australia, particularly in moist soil near the coast.
