Platysace commutata is a shrub endemic to Western Australia. It grows to a height of 0.1 to 0.5 metres (0.3 to 1.6 ft) and blooms between October and April with white-cream and blue flowers. It is found among quartzite rocks on hill tops and summits, distributed widely from the Mid West to the Great Southern region of Western Australia. It was first described by the botanist Nikolai Turczaninow in 1849 and later moved into the Platysace genera by C. Norman in 1939.
