Lomatium columbianum, also known as purple leptotaenia or Columbia desert parsley, is a perennial herb belonging to the Apiaceae family. It can be found in the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington, particularly along the Columbia River east of the Cascades. This bushy plant can reach up to 2 meters in height and has blue-green leaves and purple flowers that grow in clusters on thick stems. It thrives in dry, rocky soils and prefers full sun.
