Eryngium racemosum, also known as delta eryngo or delta button celery, is a rare flowering plant found in California. It is primarily found in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta region and is a member of the flora in the rare alkali sink habitat. The plant is listed as an endangered species in California due to threats such as habitat destruction, changes to waterways, and competition from non-native plants. It is a prostrate herb with serrated or lobed leaves and produces white or purple-tinged flowers from June to September. Despite its limited distribution and threats, Eryngium racemosum plays an important role in the ecosystem and is in need of conservation efforts.
