Cymopterus glomeratus, also known as Fendler's spring-parsley or plains springparsley, is a flowering plant in the Apiaceae family. Its genus name, Cymopterus, comes from the Greek words for "wave" and "wing", referring to the shape of its leaves. Previously thought to be two separate species, Cymopterus glomeratus and Cymopterus acaulis, recent analysis has shown that they are actually one species with five varieties. This plant can be found in a wide range of environments, from southern Canada to northern Mexico, and is typically found in open plains or mountain meadows. It has taproots and pinnately split leaves, and produces clusters of small flowers in white, yellow, and purple. The plant's fruits, known as schizocarps, are split into two parts and contain seeds. Due to its aromatic nature, Cymopterus glomeratus is often eaten raw or cooked, with its leaves used as greens or in condiments and soups.
