Actinotus laxus is a small perennial herb that belongs to the Apiaceae family and is found exclusively in the southwest coast of Western Australia. It is a unique plant with no known synonyms. The plant can grow up to 0.4 meters in height and has long, slender flowering branches. Its small inflorescences produce white to cream flowers that bloom from December to March. Actinotus laxus is typically found in fresh-water permanent swamps and can thrive in sandy, peaty, or clayey soils. It was first identified and described by Gregory John Keighery in 1999.
