Potamogeton × inbaensis is a hybrid species found in slow-moving fresh water. It was first described in 1983 in Japan as a cross between P. lucens and P. malaianus (also known as P. wrightii). Genetic testing has confirmed its hybrid status and it has also been found in China. This species is fully submerged and is known to be sterile.
