Arisaema candidissimum is a flowering plant in the arum family, native to western China. It is also known as Chinese cobra lily or Chinese jack-in-the-pulpit. The plant grows from tubers and produces an inflorescence before its leaves fully open. The flowers are small and surrounded by a hood-like spathe, which can vary in color from white to pink or green. The leaves are lobed and can reach up to 30 cm in length. This plant is typically found in oak forests and shrubby valleys at high altitudes. It is known for its shining white appearance, which is reflected in its specific epithet. Arisaema candidissimum is recommended for cultivation in warm, sunny areas with moderate moisture. It has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit and is considered the best species of Arisaema for British gardens.

Sow seeds at 20°C, expecting germination within 3 months without further temperature treatment.
Pulpy Coat Inhibits Germination: Seeds with a pulpy or fleshy outer coat need to have this material removed by soaking and rinsing in clean water daily for about a week. The inhibitory substances in the pulp are thus washed away, and germination rates improve.
sow thinly, keep dry when dormant, leave in pot for 2 years
