Anubias barteri var. barteri
Anubias barteri is a West African species of Anubias first described in 1860 by Heinrich Wilhelm Schott. It is found in south-eastern Nigeria, Cameroon, and on Bioko. It has a wide range of leaf shapes and sizes, with the broadleaf variety growing up to 12 inches (300 mm). It grows well partially and fully submersed and prefers a temperature range of 72-82°F (22-28°C). It can be propagated by dividing the rhizome or by separating side shoots. There are five varieties of this species: angustifolia, caladiifolia, glabra, nana, and barteri.
