Anthurium formosum is a plant species found in Central and South America, growing as an epiphyte or on the ground. It is commonly found at elevations of 500-1,500 meters and can form large groups. The plant has large leaves ranging from 30-80 centimeters in length and 20-52 centimeters in width. Its spadix, the central stalk of the flower, has a spearmint-scented wax that attracts euglossine bees.
