Sagittaria longiloba is a species of flowering plant native to the south-central and southwestern United States, Mexico, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. It grows in slow-moving, stagnant, and ephemeral water bodies such as ponds and small streams, and sometimes disturbed and cultivated habitats. It is a perennial aquatic plant with arrowhead-shaped leaves on long petioles, and monoecious flowers that are white and up to 3 centimeters wide. The female flowers have spherical clusters of pistils that develop into heads of tiny fruits.
