Hydrocleys nymphoides, also known as waterpoppy or water-poppy, is a popular aquatic plant found in various regions including South America, Central America, Puerto Rico, and the Netherlands Antilles. It is commonly grown in decorative ponds and artificial aquatic habitats, and has also been introduced and naturalized in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and various Pacific islands. It is also found in some parts of the United States, including Florida, Louisiana, and Texas. This plant is widely appreciated for its beauty and is often cultivated for its ornamental value.
