Diplacus nanus, also known as dwarf purple monkeyflower, is a species of monkeyflower found in California and the Northwestern United States. It typically grows in moist environments, often in disturbed or bare soils. Formerly known as Mimulus nanus, this hairy annual herb can reach up to 10 centimeters in height and has oval or oblong leaves that are purple-green in color. Its tubular flowers are usually magenta or purple with yellow stripes, but can also be entirely yellow. These flowers can grow up to 2 centimeters in length.
