Aganosma cymosa is a climbing plant with a maximum length of 10 meters. Its leaves are broadly ovate or orbicular in shape and have a pale brownish tomentose texture. The plant produces white flowers in clusters at the end of its branches, with narrow elliptic bracts and bracteoles. It is found in China, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, and Indochina. Aganosma cymosa is the host plant for the Malabar tree nymph butterfly. It is known by various vernacular names in different languages and has three varieties, including one found in southern India and Sri Lanka.
