Acacia papyrocarpa, also known as western myall, is a tree in the Fabaceae family that is native to arid regions of central and western Australia. It can grow up to 10 meters tall and has grey bark, pendulous branchlets, and greyish-green phyllodes instead of true leaves. The tree blooms between August and November, producing yellow flowers in spherical clusters. Its seed pods are thin and flat, containing dark brown seeds. This species was first described in 1864 and has since been reclassified and transferred back to the Acacia genus. It is found in limestone plains in southern Australia and has a unique weeping form that grows in South Australia. Western myall is typically found in areas with calcareous sandy loam or clay soils.
