Schistostephium griseum is a species of plant from southern Africa. It is a perennial woody herb or shrub that grows up to 75 cm (30 in) tall and is covered in silky white hairs. The leaves are alternately arranged and pinnately with three to seven linear lobes and an entire margin. Bright yellow flowers are present in December and are disc-shaped and borne on long (10–20 cm (3.9–7.9 in)) brown-haired stalks. The fruits are achenes (dry and singe seeded fruits) sparsely covered with glands. This plant is endemic to South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho and Mozambique and grows in stony grassland at altitude of 250–1,300 m (820–4,270 ft). It is considered to be of least concern by the South African National Biodiversity Institute.
