Agoseris aurantiaca, also known as orange agoseris or mountain dandelion, is a perennial herb found in western North America. It can grow up to 60 centimeters tall and produces a basal rosette of leaves. From June to August, it produces a single flower head surrounded by orange, yellow, pink, red, or purple florets. The flower head later turns into a ball-like head of beaked achenes. This species is the only one in its genus to have orange flowers. It is found in various habitats, primarily in mountainous regions. The Ramah Navajo use a cold infusion of this plant for protection against witches.
