Plectorrhiza tridentata, also known as the common tangle orchid, is a unique orchid species that can be found in the rainforests of Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. It is an epiphytic or lithophytic plant with tangled roots, egg-shaped leaves, and star-shaped flowers. The flowers are green or brown with a white labellum and bloom between September and January. This orchid was first described in 1838 and has since been classified under the genus Plectorrhiza. It is typically found in humid areas, such as gullies and swamps, and can grow on trees or rocks.
