Petagnaea is a unique genus of flowering plants that belongs to the Apiaceae family. It consists of only one species, Petagnaea gussonei, which is named after the renowned botanist Vincenzo Petagna. This plant is native to Sicily and can only be found in Mediterranean shrubby vegetation. Unfortunately, it is facing the threat of habitat loss, making it a species of concern.
